| Words, words, words… Words and writing have been important in my life for nearly as long as I can remember. I was an early reader and buried myself in books as much as I could as a child. I still do. For the past two decades or so, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to earn my living as a freelance writer, creating articles on a wide range of subjects for national and regional magazines and for the publications of not-for-profit organizations. I’ve written about the arts and artists; endangered species; the history of Henry Flagler; palms and fruit trees; teddy bear makers; miniature artisans; and women with AIDS in Southwest Florida. I’ve had the opportunity to interview and write about such celebrities as Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows; Robert Ludlum and Robin Cook; Isaac Hayes; and Patti Lupone. I continue to write for magazines and believe I have the best “job” in the world: I get to meet the most interesting people; I get to write about them; and someone actually pays me for it! I have also dabbled in writing short stories and am currently working on a book that will feature several of those. As the book project develops, I’ll be adding updated information to this page.
